Challenge Grants Lead the Way Helping Renovate the House that Love Built
Two out-of-state foundations have offered a total of $395,000 in Challenge Grants to fund the House renovation.
The J.E. Mabee Foundation of Tulsa, OK has been a strong supporter of RMHC since 2007. Their belief in our work is reflected in a recent Challenge Grant of $145,000 for the Renovation Project.
A Family Foundation out of Texas dedicated to supporting projects involving youth and family services gave the renovation a real "shot in the arm" with a special $250,000 Challenge Grant.
Merrion Family Foundation
The Merrion Family Foundation grant of $25,000 was one of the first gifts distributed by the newly formed foundation. This Farmington gift is additionally special because it's a family gift that will help other families in their time of need.
ConocoPhilips
ConocoPhillips believes it has a responsibility for the safety, health and wellbeing of its employees and the communities in which they operate. The company provided a $5,000 grant for the campaign.
BHP Billiton
BHP Billiton, a mining and natural resource company in Farmington, is a great community partner that invests in projects with a measurable community benefit. Not only have they donated $17,500 to the Renovation Project, BHP Billiton was a contributor to the expansion campaign several years ago.
Navajo Nation Oil & Gas Company
Navajo Nation Oil & Gas Company donated $5,000 to support the renovation updates to the original guest rooms constructed in the 1980's.
